Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, tells Sky News that cyber security is “incredibly important”. He said that when it came to cyber security, part of the problem was that it isn’t understood well enough.
With the Government proposing new legislation on surveillance, the so-called “Snoopers’ Charter”, Mr. Wales said “It won’t work/it puts a lot of people’s data at risk”. He added, “We need to be encouraging businesses and everybody else to be more secure, to use encryption everywhere to save our data from criminals”. Mr. Wales made it evident in his interview the importance of cyber security.
