A car collision cheat, Michael Rajinder Singh, 47, from Doncaster, has been sentenced to eight months in prison after attempting to claim for an accident in January 2010, that never happened.

His insurers, LV, had a claims reserve of £120k whilst cost sought included medical treatment for the two drivers, five fictitious passengers for personal injuries, car repairs, credit hire and storage as well as third party legal costs. LV rejected the claim as they were suspicious there was no police involvement and the vehicle damage was inconsistent with his description among other factors.
